This Thursday, the situation in the Gaza Strip became even more critical after extensive incursions by Israeli occupation forces, described as flagrant violations of international conventions. According to Al Mayadeen reports, the attacks have left at least 112 martyrs, with 71 killed in Gaza City.

Among the most alarming incidents was the attack on a school in Al-Tuffah neighborhood, which housed displaced persons. This assault resulted in over 30 deaths, mostly women, children and elderly, plus dozens wounded. Israeli warplanes also conducted intensive bombings on several schools and shelters, drawing widespread condemnation.

So far, Israeli forces have attacked 229 shelters and displacement centers, per Gaza’s government media office. On Thursday night, the Israeli army issued new evacuation warnings for residents in Gaza’s Old City and the neighborhoods of Al-Sabra, Tal Al-Hawa and western Zaytoun.

The incursions weren’t limited to Gaza City; attacks were also recorded in the Mirage area north of Rafah and the destruction of Fahmi Sharab Mosque in Khan Yunis. Hamas described these attacks as an “atrocious massacre,” denouncing that bombings at Dar Al-Arqam School left dozens martyred and over a hundred wounded.

Hamas urged the international community and Arab/Islamic nations to break their silence regarding what they call “genocidal operations” against Palestinians. They also called for a global day of anger and mobilization this Friday in support of Gaza and rejection of Israeli actions.

Since Israel resumed its Gaza offensive on March 18, the total Palestinian death toll has exceeded 1,200, with over 3,000 wounded. The humanitarian situation remains critical, with the health sector and hospitals facing extremely difficult conditions.

This new episode of violence highlights the conflict’s complexity and deep divisions between involved parties, as the international community watches with growing concern.
